Do you think you’re ready to take the step up to the UK Arenacross series as part of a professional team? Then you could get the chance of joining Team XBladez for the forthcoming championship following a unique try-out audition on a supercross-style track in November.

The MotoHead-backed team enjoyed the sweet taste of success in its last competitive outing at the Arenacross Tour’s grand finale at London’s Wembley Arena in February, in the hands of superfast American Collin Jurin who took a well-earned third place in the main event final.

The squad now plans to go a step further by providing a platform from which a wider group of riders will get the opportunity to enjoy being part of a professional team. XBladez team boss Dave Willet wants to give home-grown youth and pro riders the platform to experience the full-on XBladez Arenacross treatment.

The concept is to give riders the chance to prove themselves worthy of a spot on the team by holding a two-day open event over the weekend of November 18-19, at the new Cusses Gorse Arenacross track. The XBladez crew will be looking for riders who believe they have the riding skills to do the job, but also the ability to get stuck in, have a laugh, and be an all-round member of the team.

The track at Cusses will be tamed down a tad and riders should turn up with their own bikes and kit, ready to be assessed for on-track times and talent, and off-track attitude. Once a group of riders has been selected, they’ll go through to a knockout stage where they’ll get the chance to test out the team’s race bikes and have them set up according to their liking, prior to going through the final selection process. And MotoHead Magazine will be covering the events for its website, App, social and YouTube channels.

Interested? All you need to do is comment on the MotoHead Facebook or XBladex Facebook page stating which bike you ride and you’ll be sent a form to complete. This is to provide a good idea of numbers!

Team boss Willet said; “There are so many factors to take into account when it comes to deciding which riders are right for AX, as the series is long. We all need to gel and work as a team with a good fun attitude, working towards one end goal which is to achieve the best results possible and look after the sponsors involved.”

Please note that as riders will be using the Cusses Gorse Arenacross track and facilities, there will be a small charge to pay directly to the track owner.
