Marvin Musquin dominated the final in the first night of the Paris Supercross in the new U Arena, wining comfortably over the Husqvarna duo of Zach Osborne and Briton Dean Wilson with HRC ace Cole Seely fourth.

The final was a disappointing affair following the action of the two earlier sprint finals. In the first, Musquin led from Wilson who made several lunges for the lead. Wilson’s pressure caused the KTM man to make a mistake and he ran off the track, allowing the Scot to take the win with Seely third from Osborne.

Second time out Musquin led all the way but was chased hard by Seely who eventually took second from Wilson and Osborne.

The final saw Musquin holeshot from Osborne and Wilson while Seely was taken down on the first lap. As the leading trio settled into a rhythm and held their places, Seely came through the pack and despite also running off the track, passed Cedric Soubeyras for fourth. Soubeyras, who had been tailing the AMA regulars at the front, lost some ground when he ran off the track too, allowing Seely to reel him in.

Fabien Izoird was sixth from ex world champ Jordi Tixier, making his KTM 450 race debut. Thomas Ramette was eights form Xavier Boog and Nico Aubin.

American Jeremy Martin didn’t race after crashing in practice and hurting his wrist.
