Shock tests for Russian Bobby

BOS Suzuki GP rider Evgeny Bobryshev loves the sand, and lives only 20 minutes from this weekend’s MXGP circuit at Valkenswaard, venue for the first European round of the world championship. Last week was totally focused on riding and testing the new RMZ450 on the sand to prepare for the Dutch race.

“We’ve had a lot to work to do since Argentina on the engine, shock and sand settings. Our program was full but it definitely worked as we can provide Evgeny a good bike for this weekend,” explains Olivier Bossard, team owner.

“I’ll be able to sleep in my own bed each night, something that doesn’t happen often for sure!” said Russian Bobby, who also rides for the Lombard Express-backed Suzuki team in the UK. “We did test a lot of shocks this week and even if Lommel was a little too deep compare to Valkenswaard, we have now a good combo to do a strong race Sunday” says Evgeny.
The first European GP of the year might also be one of the toughest: the weather forecast is temperatures around -6 degrees on the morning, and barely 1 degree during the afternoon. Add to this wet sand and of course a real rough track: it will be a good test to separate the riders.
