Former British champion Ken De Dycker is to stand in for he injured Jordi Tixier in the BOS KTM team at this weekend’s Spanish GP at Redsand and the Italian GP at Trentino on April 8.
Tixier hurt his right hand before the Hawkstone Park International but unsuccessfully tried to ride. He had surgery soon afterwards and isn’t fit enough to ride yet.
Former factory KTM, Suzuki and Honda rider De Dycker retired from full-time GPs at the end of 2017 but made his debut as a privateer on a KTM 450 at Sunday’s Dutch GP at Valkenswaard – an event he has won in the past.
In the first moto he retired with an engine fault, then had to ride his spare bike in moto two which only had a stock motor. He finished 22nd.
