Former British champion Brad Anderson has taken the painful decision to miss this weekend’s British championship at Desertmartin to give his injured right knee more chance to heal.
Hard man Ando, who hurt the knee at the British GP yet rode in immense pain to take the EMX300 win, has left the decision until the last minute before deciding to withdraw.
The Verde Sports KTM rider, a double British MX1 champion, is currently fifth in the Maxxis-backed series.
But he’s the defending EMX300 champion and following his win at Matterley is currently leading the series this year from Andero Lusbo and Greg Smets.
With three rounds remaining, his next EMX300 race will be in the Czech Republic on July 22 so he aims to be as fit as possible by then.
