Canada Heights MX Nationals defeats the dust

As the sun went down on day one on the Michelin MX Nationals at very hot Canada Heights in Kent the first thing that must be said is what a great job the Sidcup club, with the help of the MX Nationals crew did on providing an almost dust free race track. At dusk on Friday they started watering the sandy track and went on well into the night using about of the 90,000 litres of water the brought in by tanker.

Brad Cavill was on top form

Brad Cavill continued his dominance of the expert MX1s with another pair of race wins and looks set for another overall come the end of racing tomorrow. Richard Bird and Conner Hughes shared the runner up positions and finished on the same points. Local hero of days gone by Mark Eastwood dusted off his Honda showed a lot of the riders half his age the way round but a DNF in race one didn’t help but an eighth on his second race was much better.

Trystan Williams on the gas

Jason Meara notched up two wins in the expert MX2s from Jake Edey, who had a big crash the round before at Sherwood, with championship contender Charlie Putnam third.
