Now Ando joins the 2-Stroke Festival fun!

One of Britain’s most popular racers, EMX300 two-stroke champion Brad Anderson, is to race this weekend’s Apico 2-Stroke festival at Sellindge in Kent. And he’ll be joined by another two top British championship riders, Lewis Tombs who will be on a 125 and Jamie Law who will be riding an old-school Kawasaki KX500!

Ando, a double British MX1 champion who was in the podium in Sunday’s Maxxis British championship at Duns, will be riding the Verde KTM he is racing this season on which he is the current leader of the EMX300 championship. Anderson said last year he’d have loved to have raced the first ever festival, but it clashed with an EMX300 race at Lommel. This year there is no clash, so the Cumbrian-based hard man is making the trip down to Kent to join in the fun.

The entry list in the Fastest class was swelled this week with the news that World Enduro Super Series championship leader, Red Bull KTM factory rider Jonny Walker is to take to a 150 KTM two-stroke to contest the Festival as he bids for a share of the £2000 prize money.

He’ll be joined by Josh Spinks who raced a 150 KTM to victory in the opening round at Ironworks in Middlesborough. This time out, Spinks will be on a new 2019 KTM 250. And former British supercross champion and two-stroke fan Nev Bradshaw will race in both the modern classes and Evo class on a Honda CR500 where he’ll face riders like ex-GP man Brian Wheeler.

There are classes for all levels of rider on all two-strokes, and a class for youths on 85s where Apico recently revealed one lucky 85cc rider will win a sponsorship package worth £5000 for 2019 from the title sponsor.

There are still entries available from HERE.
