MXGP world champ Jeffrey Herlings has broken his foot while testing in Spain, his factory KTM team has confirmed.

“Jeffrey Herlings is recovering from surgery on his right foot last night after a crash while training. The world champion came through the procedure without problem. A press release will be issued with more details and the expected recovery time,” revealed his team

It’s three weeks until Herlings was due to start racing at the Hawkstone Park international and the GP season kicks off in five weeks in Argentina.
