Crescent Yamaha’s Martin Barr crashed on the first lap of Sunday’s MX Nationals at Cusses Gorse and broke his collarbone in 2 places.

Yet he still rode with the break in the Bridgestone Masters on Sunday to ensure he clinched the title.

Martin is to have surgery this week, but hopes to be fit to represent Ireland at the MX of Nations in Assen on September 29. He also aims to race at the British championship finale a week before that!
