Former GP rider Rui Goncalves has made the switch to rally racing and his signed for the factory Sherco team. The Portuguese ace, who once came so close to clinching the world MX2 championship when a factory KTM rider, made the announcement at the EICMA bike show in Italy today.

“I’m very happy and motivated to start my rally experience with 
SHERCO TVS RALLY FACTORY TEAM,” he said.
