Christophe Charlier and Thomas Covington will be drafted in to the official Husqvarna team for the SMX Cup in Germany next week to replace Max Nagl and Jason Anderson who were both hurt at the Motocross of Nations in Maggiora. Both will ride 450s, alongside American Zach Osborne who will be on his regular 250.

Now back in the States after he was released from his brief hospital stay in Italy, Anderson underwent minor surgery to stabilise the fracture in his right foot, which he sustained when he crashed during the qualifying race on Saturday. In order to ensure no further problems, he will require a period of rest that will rule him out of both the SMX Rider’s Cup and the Monster Cup in Las Vegas. Thankfully, he suffered only a mild concussion as a result of the incident right after his MXoN race victory.

German Nagl is well on the road to recovery but unable to race after his qualifying race crash at the Nations. He will spend the upcoming weeks resting and undergoing physiotherapy before returning to pre-season training and testing.
