Bry Mac takes Evo VMXdN opener

Bryan Mackenzie took the moto win for Team Scotland in the shortened Evo VMXdN opening race at Farleiogh Castle after it was red flagged. He was in the lead after four laps, so took the win from Ryan Voase, Mike Brown and Bry’s cousin Billy Mackenzie. But Billy Mac was then penalised for having done some ‘gardening’ in front of his start gate and was dropped to 13th.

Nev Bradshaw took fourth from Mark Jones, Steve Ramon, Kurt Nicoll, Gary Davies and Steve Bixby.

The chase is on in the Evo class

Team USA’s Keith Johnson was 16th, one spot in front of team GB’s Mervyn Anstie from another American, Sean Hamblin while his other USA man Doug Dubach was 26th.

MotoHead’s Dave Willet on the gas!

The twin-shock VMXdN team race is virtually an all-British affair. Team England’s Brad O’Leary won the opener from Luke Hill and Lee Holland, with MotoHead’s own Dave Willet seventh. He was riding a borrowed 490 Maico he’d never ridden until practice.

The twin shockers ready for the off

Willet briefly led moto two at half distance than made a small mistake, dropping to fourth. That race was won by Hill from Terry House and Holland. Check out our mega gallery of pics! Click on the pic to make it bigger!
