Swiss star Arnaud Tonus has announced he is retiring from racing. The former British champion contested MX2 GPs then went to the USA to race for Pro Circuit before coming back to a factory Yamaha MXGP ride. He won MX2 and MXGP motos, but was so often injured.
Tonus, whose dad is a former GP racer, said: “Time for me to move away and begin a new chapter, I don’t really have the words, when you have been in the motocross world since 4 years old it’s pretty much all you know. I’m forever grateful for what the sport made me experience and the love for it will never go away! I really want to thank you guys for the love and support and truly mean it/”
