The British-bases ASA GasGas team truck was involved in an accident near to Uddevalla on the way to this weekend’s MXGP of Sweden, but luckily nobody was seriously hurt.
It’s though rider Bobby Bruce – on his way to the race to make his GP debut – was in the truck, as well as other members of the squad, which smashed into the armco barrier and tipped over. But the team WILL race on at the GP.
A team statement says: “We are pleased to say that no one was hurt in the accident, however the truck has sustained a fair amount of damage. The event has not impacted on the team’s plans for this weekend and Bobby will still make his debut in the MX2 Class at the MXGP of Sweden.
“Thank you to everyone for your concerns and messages; despite the events leading up to this weekend we are still excited to finally see the #579 on the World Stage.
“We hope that the very best of British Motocross will shine through and rally support for him at such a time. Good Luck Bobby Bruce!”
