British champion Tommy Searle was a huge hit at day three of the Dirt Bike Show, and told MotoHead that he will be defending his British MX1 championship for the Dixon Kawasaki team. He also appeared on the UK Arenacross stand to talk about his plans to race the whole 2017 Arenacross series too. That means he’ll be doing more races in Britain than ever before! Searle talked to fans about how he hopes to be a British winner in the Arencross series, having been bitten by the bug for indoor racing when he competed in the SMX Cup recently. “But it will be tough to win as there are some very fast riders,” he said. Searle will be going to America soon to start his winter test schedule.
Max Anstie was also a hit with the fans at the show on Saturday, posing for pics and signing autographs. He’s racing in the MXGP class for Rockstar Husqvarna next season but won’t contest the British championship. He may ride in selected rounds if it suits his GP programme, revealed his dad, former GP winner Mervyn Anstie who visited the MotoHead stand.
With loads of bargains still to be had and lots of cool bikes to see, the show runs all today so come over and say hi!
