CRF450 style for Honda’s 250 trailies

Fancy a super-cool bike you can ride on the road and off-road too? Then Honda has revealed two revamped CRF250 trail bikes inspired by the new CRF450 and the HRC rally bike. The CRF250 RALLY has long travel suspension, large-disk ABS brakes, excellent weather protection from the CRF450 RALLY-inspired bodywork and an impressive cruising range. Engine performance combines solid bottom-end torque with substantial top-end power.

The more stripped-down CRF250L is ideal for roads and trails and has new bodywork influenced by the CRF450R MX bike. A digital dash adds a tachometer and fuel gauge and ABS is fitted as standard, with the option of disengaging it for the rear brake.

The 249cc engine boasts more bottom-end torque and peak power from revised PGM-FI and throttle body plus a new airbox, connector tube and lightweight exhaust.

Honda’s Eiji Sugiyama said: “The rally racer replica is exciting, with the global appeal of everything that Team HRC is fighting to achieve in the Dakar Rally. We really wanted to build on the capabilities of the CRF250L and open up new opportunities for riders young and old. So, with the CRF250 RALLY we set out to make a motorcycle that looks like HRC’s CRF450 RALLY factory machine, is fun to ride both on and off-road for weekend adventures, comfortable to tour with and useful and practical for daily life. It brings the spirit of Rally-raid racing to every ride.”

The bikes will go on sale soon but prices haven’t yet been announced.
