New classes support British championship 2025

Youth and adult support classes for the 2025 season will be added to the British championship next season, including a series for women.

The British series, which is returning to being run in-house from next season b y the ACU, will feature youth, clubman and amateur classes. Competitors will race across a two-day format and the new classes will serve as feeder series into the main British MXGB Championship. Organisers will also be running a British Women’s Motocross Championship class in the series from 2025.

Plans are also being finalised to introduce a new qualifying system through ACU club events next year that will seed youth riders into the 2026 series.

Organising the new British Motocross Championship classes will be Colin and Julie Hambridge, and Christine Heathcote who are well known and highly-respected figures within the sporting community. As Race Director, Colin will work closely with new ACU British Motocross Championship Series Director, Paul Irwin.
