KTM often reveals its latest technology just before the US Supercross season with a couple of Factory Edition bikes that are legal for AMA racing – and this year is no different. The 450 and 250SXF Factory Editions will be the basis of the bikes raced by Ryan Dungey and Marvin Musquin in the 450 Red Bull factory team and the Troy Lee 250 squad.
Available in the US – with no news yet as to UK or European availability – KTM has not revealed full detailed spec on what’s exactly new apart from tweaks to the forks and shock. The bikes do feature lots of bolt-ons from the Powerparts range. Here is what KTM has to say:
2017 450SXF Factory Edition
A compact SOHC engine effectively delivers explosive power to the ground, thanks to traction control, launch control and a two-position map switch. Updated WP AER 48 forks and rear shock elevate the 450 SX-F’s already-stellar handling, while a titanium Akrapovic muffler sheds weight.
