DEP backs Teillet’s new team

British exhaust manufacturer DEP Pipes and the all new French Honda team – 3AS Racing – have teamed up with big plans for the future. The guys at 3AS Racing have put together a seriously strong outfit with Valentin Teillet (26) and Kevin Ballanger (25) as team riders, both of whom will be racing the French MX Elite MX1 and French SX championships and will be serious title contenders for both. When they aren’t racing either of those championships they’ll also be competing in a few internationals like Sommieres and Lacapelle and also the two French World MX GP rounds.

As team leader Teillet is focused and determined to take both the motocross and super cross titles in his homeland. After finishing third in the 2016 Elite MX1 French championship he’s looking for redemption after a mechanical DNF took him out of contention last year. While in the SX championship he took fourth in the championship and was left a little frustrated. Clearly with the strength of a new, determined and already very professional team around him in 3AS Racing he has a really good chance of taking both titles and give the team and stellar debut year.

For Kevin, 2017 is another year to develop and push on into the top five in both championships. It’s his first real taste of being a professional team and he’s also motivated and will learn a lot from the team and also his more experienced team mate Valentin.

The 3AS Racing team and extremely motivated to come out swinging in their debut year. The idea of the team came about in September 2016 and then it was only decided in November that the team would be formed, with the objective very much to race to win and put together a slick operation to give all their partners a professional image, and they’re certainly already doing that.
DEP Pipes’ Jeff Perrett explains: “We’re proud and pleased to be working with a professional and passionate race team that already have dedicated themselves to winning. I mean, who wouldn’t? Valentin has plenty of experience and most people in Europe know he has some serious skills. Kevin looks a real prospect too. It didn’t take us long to agree a deal with the team after meeting up with them, it’s obvious they are focused and already have hit the ground running with their professionalism. We’re looking forward to building a long standing relationship with the guys at 3AS Racing as they look to be the champions of France. We love that fact, they’re going straight for the jugular. We of course wish them the best of luck and we’ll be supporting them all the way.”
