James Dunn has decided to take a step away from full-time pro racing. The former Hitachi KTM rider, who raced Arenacross this year, has had a career marred by serious injuries. He has announced:
“So, a little update for everyone who follows my racing. After the Arenacross series finished this year I decided to have some time away from racing. Motocross has its ups and downs like any sport however staying injury free is always tough for any rider!
“I have had a handful of injuries over the past few years and after the concussion I sustained last year it took a long time and was very difficult to recover fully. Unfortunately this has put my racing on pause for a while which I am gutted about however my love for racing is still huge and I plan to return to race selected events later on this season.
“Racing motocross has not just been a hobby for me at weekends it’s been a lifestyle and has taught me huge life lessons along the way. It’s been a long bumpy road so far although I look forward to the next stage! See you all at the races soon! Also a huge thank you to my family and close friends who have supported me particularly during this time.”
