Just four days after breaking his femur in a crash at the Canada Heights British championship, former champ Kristian Whatley has had surgeries to bolt his leg back together and several blood transfusions but today is back on his feet using crutches!

Two days ago the Apico Husqvarna rider said: “They have pinned my femur but left it open as there was so much internal bleeding so I’m going to need another op for them to stitch up and a possible skin graft.”

Then yesterday he was stitched back up and had further blood transfusions to get him on the road to recovery. Today he released this photo! Get well soon Kristian!
