Briton Brad Anderson kept his 100% winning streak alive after taking the win in the opening EMX300 two-stroke race at Orlyonok in Russia today. Anderson, who won both motos at the opening round in Germany recently, got into the lead in the first corner but his rival, defending champ Mike Kras of the British GL12 team, was right on his tail.
Kras looked like he was going to make a challenge until he lost the front end and crashed in a rutty corner. That allowed Ando to pull away for his third win of the season, backing it off on the last couple of laps to stay well in front of Belgian Kenny Vandeuren.
Kras remounted third and made an attempt to catch Vandeuren but couldn’t quite catch him.
Anderson said: “Me and Mike were having a good battle early on and he slipped off. I pulled a gap and started to relax a bit. I kept it on two wheels and a sensible speed to take the win.”
