Proud Briton Brad Anderson clinched the EMX 2T title at Trentino in Italy with two strong second place finishes. There’s still a round remaining, at the same track this weekend.
Former British champ Ando has either been first or second in every single EMX moto this year, all of which have been in Italy. He took the overall in three of the four rounds, with double wins in two of those at Faenza.
He has 25 moto wins and 14 overall wins overall in the years he has been racing in the class.
Ando said: “This is what I have worked all year for. I’m so glad it happened because of Covid. And hopefully we can do it again next year.”
At this round he was beaten in both motos by Italian Nick Lapucci who has raced MXGPs this year. He was lured to the EMX2T class for this round by the Italian Fantic factory. He first rode the bike less than a week ago and may contest the whole series next year.
Ando was a clear second in the opener. In race two, instead of settling for a safe third place he battled hard right to the last lap, overtaking Manuel Iacopi for the runner-up spot.
