Briton Max Anstie has added fuel to the fire that he may be USA bound for 2020 after being spotted testing a Star Yamaha on a public track in California yesterday.
It comes a week after he was linked with a ride on the HEP Suzuki team which has been a Supercross-only squad but it seems they are aiming to go bigger in 2020 by tackling the US Nationals too.
Anstie used to race and live in the USA, and has contested supercross for Star Yamaha before coming back to Europe to contest GPs. After he was dropped by the Standing Construct KTM team for 2020 – which is now going to be a factory GasGas team – he was linked with Steve Dixon’s Kawasaki DRT squad in MXGPs. It’s thought this may have fallen through.
