Cab Screens will once again be supported by Husqvarna Motorcycles and Husky Sport for 2017 with backing from Chinese construction firm, LiuGong, as their joint-title sponsor. The team will again be known as CabScreens/LiuGong/Husqvarna.
The team’s ethos has always been to nurture and support young talent on the national stage and 2017 will be no different, as they continue with Dan Thornhill and James Harrison in the Pro MX1 classes alongside amateur rider Josh Coleman in MX2. The team will be competing in the Maxxis British Championship and Michelin MX Nationals along with a couple of selected Grands Prix for Thornhill and Harrison.
A host of other sponsors are already secured for 2017 with a few more to be finalised; Husky Sport, Michelin Motorcycle, Akorn Construction, LRS Suspension, LMC Plant and Site Services, Structural Steel Craft, Pro-Green, Bell Helmets, Acerbis, Race FX, Decade Europe, 100%, Matrix, Rynopower, Amped, HGS Exhausts, Putoline Oils, CFX Seat Covers, Malcom Rathmell Sport, Talon Engineering, Hardcore Racing, Samco, WP and Pro-Bolt will be supporting Cab Screens in 2017.
Team manager Lee Webber said: “It’s great to continue our relationship with Husqvarna Motorcycles and all the team backers that continue to support us and move forward with us. In Dan Thornhill and James Harrison, who are both still only twenty-one, I believe we have the two youngest and most exciting riders in the MX1 class and I’m looking forward to seeing how they can improve on their 2016 results. I am also hoping that we can add a youth rider to our amateur team to join Josh Coleman for 2017. Next year is already shaping up to be a fantastic one”
Husky UK’s Dave Edwards said: “It’s so good to be working with Cab Screens again in 2017. We wanted to work with them again as they are great ambassadors for Husqvarna and for the sport. Their ethos and ambitions match ours and we’re proud to support this young team and see their riders progress in 2017”
Mike Carter of Husky Sport said: “I’ve known Lee and the team for some time and have really enjoyed working with them this year. They are a local team who support top local riders and that is something we’ve always done at Husky Sport, so it’s a pleasure to work with them next year.”
