Eight times world champion Tony Cairoli has revealed he’ll stick the the 450 KTM for the assault on next year’s world championship. The Italian, who visited the Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh for the first time, told MotoHead that unlike 2016 when he swopped between the 450 and 350, he’ll stick to the bigger bike in 2017.
“We are testing lots of new parts on the 450 and it is improving all the time,” he said. “But the 350 has not had a lot of changes. All the development is aimed at the 450 so I will ride that. And it suits the way all the GP tracks are going now.”
Cairoli talks about his rivalry with Jeffrey Herlings and his goals and thoughts about the 2017 MXGP world championship in an interview in the MotoHead App, coming soon.
