The funeral of triple world champion Hakan Carlqvist will be held at a church in a forest just outside Stockholm, Sweden, on August 23 at noon.

The Swedish champion died last month after a stroke and tributes have been paid to him by many of fellow racers and fans from around the world.

Instead of sending flowers, his widow Anneli has requested anyone who would like to remember Carla to make a donation to a brain research foundation of their choice.
