Former world junior champ Steven Clarke will make his return to domestic racing in the ACU Maxxis British Championship thanks to support from Apico Factory Racing and Winchester Off-Road Honda.
Apico Factory Racing will continue to support Clarke in the EMX250 Class at the GPs after he and his previous team parted ways earlier this season. With the current standings in the EMX250 class, there is a good chance Clarke will be challenging for an overall podium when the series concludes at Assen in September.
Steven said: “I’m happy to have the support from all my old friends at Apico. We’ve both had some fantastic times racing in the Maxxis and MX Nationals in recent years. I’m looking forward to going out there and giving it my all for the rest of the season both home and away. The support from Apico and their distributed brands will allow me to get the job done and hopefully a few race wins and podiums along the way.”
Apico boss Dylan Brown said: “As a long-time Apico Factory Racing supported rider, when Steven approached us, we were happy to support his racing for the remainder of 2018. Steven will run out of our Apico Factory Racing Honda branded awning at the Maxxis and continue his plan in the EMX250 Class at the GP’s with our backing.”
Steven’s first race in Apico colours will be at Lommel on August 5.
