Dickinson quits for the year

Talented Yorkshireman Ashton Dickinson has decided to quit racing for the rest of the year after his concussion symptoms have returned. The KTM privateer had serious concussion last year when he was racing in the MX2 GPs for the Hitachi KTM team. He missed a large part of the season.

He returned to action in the MX1 class in the British championships this year but a couple of spills have seen the effects return. So doctors orders mean he will sit out the rest of the year in a bid to be 100% for next season. “It’s for the best. I need to sort myself out now,” he said.

Dickinson took his first MX2 British championship win last season and so far this year he had a third and fourth place finishes in two of the four British championship motos. He’s currently fifth in the championship.
