The factory Husky team of Graham Jarvis, Billy Bolt and enduro rider Danny McCanney are all ready for Round 1 of the Fast Eddy series which kicks off this weekend, where they’ll face ex world champ David Knight and a field of top riders like Paul Bolton.
In what will be the biggest ever Eddy’s X-treme event so far, the Fast Eddy Team are pleased to announce not only the top riders but an incredible entry in all other classes.
After being the first promotor to run a class for Sportsman, which many thought would not be possible for these riders to achieve a finish, this class has once again proved everyone wrong and is set to be the largest with around 80 riders choosing to compete at Tong for the first round of the new 2017 ACU British Extreme Championship series. Other full line-ups include both the Clubman and the Vets who, yet again, have entered in force to challenge themselves against the technical and extreme course at Tong.
Race action gets underway at 9.30 am with a two-hour race for Vets, Youth and Sportsman this is definitely the ONE to watch! After the carnage of the morning event it’s the turn of the big boys and Jarvis, Bolt, McCanney and co to tear up the already tough track from the morning’s event.
New for 2017 are FIVE spectator zones, including two NO HELP sections, where the action will be intensive. Hard and Easy options will allow the better rider a chance to make up time, or loose it !!, depending on how they pass through these sections.
Without a doubt this event, as always, is not to be missed so Sunday January 15th get yourself along to Tong (BD4 0RR). Gates will be open at 7.30 am and the course will be available from 9.00 am on Saturday for riders to walk. Photo by Garry Barnes, Black Sheep Photography.
