Honda’s Alberto Forato is out of the weekend’s Spanish GP after a major crash in testing saw him break ribs and puncture his lung.
His Standing Construct Honda team said: “Unfortunately Alberto Forato had a big crash today while preparing for the Spanish GP and suffered 8 broken ribs and a collapsed lung. He’s in Herentals’ hospital where he gets the best care. When it rains, it pours…”
Forato had surgery just before the Argentinian MXGP opener and tried to race but just wasn’t healed enough. So this is the second injury blow this season.
