Frustration for Revo team at Foxhill

The Revo Seven Kawasaki team hit the chalky Wiltshire slopes of Foxhill Moto Park for round 2 of the
Revo British Motocross Championship, and it was a “frustrating day” for MX1 rider Dylan Walsh and
MX2 pilot Jamie Wainwright.

Adapting back to outdoor Motocross and his 450cc machine, Dylan qualified in 5th and then started well up in race one, staying in 2nd place for the first 5 laps before slipping to 4th. “I made a wrong choice on suspension for the hardpack and wasn’t comfortable.”

Race two saw Dylan right at the sharp end off the gate, and after a quick move into 2nd he was hassling the rear wheel of championship leader Tommy Searle. In the tight final turn he “tucked the front” and went down, quickly remounting in 4th spot. He set the 3rd fastest lap time and was looking good to re-take 3rd, when suddenly the bike begun to stall in the corners. With a rock wedging the back brake on, he limped home to 15th and 9th overall.

In the MX2 class, Jamie was trying hard to adapt to a circuit he hadn’t raced since he was in the youth classes, and a crash in Qualifying limited him to 15th. Starting midpack he “played it safe as it was so one-line” and finished 14th. Race two saw a better started for Jamie, but he got a nudge in the second corner and stalled the bike. He made a lot of passes on lap one and moved forward to 12th.

With Dylan 7th in the MX1 points chase, and Jamie 11th in MX2, Team Manager Sam Yates is looking
forward to the next rounds of each series. “This track is so different, and with Dylan coming into
form and Jamie working on testing, we will move forward from here!”
