Geartec go Honda with Banks-Browne and Burton

One of the UK’s top teams Geartec have made the switch from Husky to Honda for 2020. Team riders, double British champ Elliott Banks-Browne and European IMBA champ Luke Burton put the new CRF450Rs through their paces on a cool private track and talks about the big change exclusively to MotoHead.

The squad will be EBB and Burton in the MX1 British championships, and Ray Rowson in the AMCA, explains team owner Paul Mason.

Elliott with his new ride

Banks-Browne has ridden Hondas before, when he raced for Dave Thorpe’s Buildbase Honda team. But the new bikes have evolved hugely since those 2016 models.

The bikes will be tuned by Ryan Thorpe, the man behind the Buildbase Hondas run by his dad Dave Thorpe. Mark Eastwood has tweaked the suspension.
