The broken hand he sustained in the first corner mega-spill at the Blaxhall British championship round means Shaun Simpson will miss the next two GPs, in Russia this weekend and Latvia seven days later. His team say they will re-evaluate after that, but he may also miss the German GP on June 23, too.
The RFX KTM man bravely rode with the broken bone following the crash on Sunday, and still got fourth overall in the Maxxis series. Although he lost the red plate to Tommy Searle, he’s only five points behind. It’s likely he’ll be riding at the next round on June 30 in Northern Ireland.
