Harri Kullas will miss the final GPs of the season after medical checks discovered he broke his leg in a crash in the MX Nationals finale at Fatcats on Sunday.
The Honda ace had a crash in the first race start and withdrew from the event. Following medical checks near his home in Belgium, the extend of the injury was discovered. Kullas was due to race the remaining MXGP rounds for the Cab Screens Honda team.
He said: “Had the last round of MX Nationals last Sunday. First start had a crash in the start and ended my day there. Felt straight away that my leg/knee was not right. Packed my stuff and drove back to Belgium.
“Luckily got an appointment with Dr. Claes on Monday and found out that I have a fracture in tibia and stretched ligament in the knee. Need to rest now and unfortunately miss out on the GP rounds we had in mind for the end of the season. Overall I was quite happy about the diagnosis, was afraid it would be much worse.
“Big thank you to Dr. Claes! I will take my time to heal properly and get ready for next season.”
