Former Yamaha 250 ace Shane McElrath has signed for the Smartop Bullfrog Spas Motoconcepts Honda team to race the 450 AMA Supercross next season – and he’ll ride the 2020 model Honda.

He will join Benny Bloss, Vince Freise and Broc Tickle in the team run by run by Tony Alessi.

They squad will continue with the 2020 CRF450 as the global Covid-19 pandemic means parts have been slow to come through fro suppliers for the 2021 models so there is a lack of time to develop and built complete race bikes ready for the season which starts in two months. However, Freise will run the 2021 model to develop the new bike through the season.

Justin Hill has left the squad and is currently searching for a new team.
