Irishman Jason Meara has clinched a deal to ride for Phoenix Kawasaki in 2020. He recently had a stand-in ride for the team at the Hawkstone Park Maxxis British championship round and impressed the squad which has now signed him up full time.

“Phoenix Tools Apico Kawasaki are pleased to announce we have come to an agreement and signed the very talented  Jason Meara be our MX1 rider for 2020. Jason will compete in the British Maxxis and MX Nationals with the team and has recently been selected to ride in Ireland’s Nations team,” said a statement.

There is no news on whether the squad’s current rider, Gert Krestinov, will stay or be looking for a ride.
