The MotoHead-backed XBladez WD-40 Husqvarna team is hitting the final two rounds of the UK Arenacross series at Sheffield and Wembley with three new riders – two American Pro riders and a talented youngster in the 65s. And we are even looking for an 85 rider so we’re in every class!
The big news are the two 24-year-old Americans – Californian Dylan Schmoke and Washington’s Collin Jurin who raced for the team last year.
Aptly-named Schmoke, has been a pro since 2011 and has contested some US 450 Nationals and 250 West Coast Supercross. He’s also been a test rider for the KTM factory team, specialising in chassis and suspension. In 2014 and 2015 he raced in Canada. He did their full outdoor series and finished 10th in 2014 and 9th overall in 2015. His best finish in both those years was a fourth. Last year he raced some outdoor rounds in the USA where his best finish was 23rd overall. He raced one year of the 250 Supercross in 2012 and qualified several times for the night’s show so he’s no slouch on a Supercross track. He currently races a KTM so the switch to the XBladez WD-40 Husky should be an easy one.
Collin Jurin replaced the injured Mike Brown in the team last year and made a big impression on and off the track he made the main few times and topped timed practice with the fastest lap times. He’s got unfinished business at Sheffield as last year he was pushing for a heat win until his shoulder popped out. He’s currently leading the Arenacross series back home so he’s on the pace.
And we’ve also recruited young British lad Alfie Osborn to ride in the 65cc class too.
Danish rider Frederick Hojris will finish off the series in the Pro Lites class and he’s getting stronger every round. We’re also looking for a potential 85cc rider – so please get in touch if you’re interested.
