Factory KTM MX2 rider Davy Pootjes has agreed to ride for KTM until the end of 2019 but is on the move from the Red Bull factory squad to the HSF team for the 2017 MX2 world championship. The Dutchman announced on social media: “Really happy that I extend my contract with KTM up to and including 2019 and that I will ride next season for HSF ! I think HSF is a next level team so I cant wait to start working with them and I’m really looking forward to the 2017 season!”
The HSF team, that this year fielded Brian Bogers, does not normally get access to full factory bikes but it’s unknown if they will in 2017. Pootjes made his full-time MX2 GP debut in 2016 but sat out most of the latter part of the season with a wrist injury.
