Red Bull Pro Stroke National prizes doubled to £12,000

The prize money for the 2023 Red Bull Pro Stroke Nationals has been doubled to a staggering £12,000. That’s an equal £6000 each for the pro MX1 and MX2 classes, run over two motos. It’s the biggest prize fund to come out of a single one-day motocross competition in the UK.

The Red Bull Pro Stroke Nationals is a feature of the Apico 2-Stroke Festival, and this year is July 22-23 at Sellindge in Kent. It’s already a firm and hugely-popular fixture on the UK’s motocross race calendar. We all know the Festival is unique in that it provides a full-on weekend of racing for riders of all abilities, whether that’s grass roots or international-level competitors. It’s also well known for its cool atmosphere and heavenly 2-stroke scent.

But with this latest development, it’s double-bubble for Red Bull Pro Stroke Nationals competitors as the races will now provide the biggest prize fund to come out of a single one-day motocross in the UK.

The original prize money was already impressive at £6000, spread over four races, but now, with the prize money doubled, riders have a chance to race for more money than ever before. Apico have stepped up and contributed more to the overall fund which will be spread throughout the groups.
