With the MXGP season just 2 weeks away in Argentina and another pre-season race pencilled in for next week in France, Shaun Simpson’s return to Hawkstone Park didn’t go quite as planned after knocking his shoulder in moto 2.

Will Simpson be 100% fit for the season opener?

Shaun Simpson: “The day didn’t finish as planned but there were plenty of positive points: there was a real buzz about the team, I felt comfortable on the bike and my starts were on-point,” he said. “It must have been 6-10 minutes before my shoulder clicked back in and I know it will be a bit tender tomorrow and the day after but it is something I’m used to dealing with and I fully expect to be racing next weekend at LaCapelle Marival.”
