Five times world champ Joel Smets has quit as manager of the Belgian Motocross of Nations team after 11 years. He says when he took on the role, he was working part-time but now has a full-time role at KTM, and a growing family he wants to spend spare time with.

Smets replaced fellow five-times world champ Joel Robert as manager of the team.
