Former world MX2 champ Jordi Tixier says he hit a concrete wall after crashing in Sunday’s Portuguese GP. The factory Kawasaki MXGP rider suffered compression injuries to both leg and back and will undergo scans before a final diagnosis can be made but he will certainly be out of action for at least four to six weeks.
He said: “Luck isn’t by my side. I jumped next to the track and hit a little concrete wall. Why is there a concrete wall one meter from the side of the track ? Isn’t our sport dangerous enough ?
“I can stand up but there is so much pain to my both knees.”
