Following a hugely successful fund raising campaign to raise money for his family, the body of 20-year-old Tommy Morris is to be brought back to the UK from Spain today.

The popular British racer died after crashing at the Paraje de Los Balcones track in Spain.

A message on the donation page reads: “I just wanted to give an update for everyone who kindly donated that Tommy will be coming home. Total raised was £26,270.16 which is absolutely amazing and I can’t thank everyone enough for all your help and support for the family. The funds go straight to the family.”

Again our thoughts go to the family and friends of Tommy at this very sad time.
