Former world champion John van den Berk has split with the HSF Logistics KTM MX2 GP team after several years and he’ll be replaced by former GP rider, August Justs as rider coach and Nick van Gemert will be the physical trainer. The team say van den Berk played an important role in the development of the riders to their current level, and the team was adamant to thank him for his valuable contribution.
The HSF Logistics Motorsport team has started preparing in all earnest for the 2017 motocross word championship season. The riders’ training schemes are ready and everyone knows what he has to do over the winter period to be at optimum fitness for the new season.
“Augusts and Nick approach their tasks seriously and professionally. Both of them have already worked with the team and get along well with the riders. The riders were always at their sharpest on the track, and the contribution of Augusts and Nick to this state of affairs can not be overstated,” Team Manager Martin van Genderen remarked.
Factory KTM MX2 rider Davy Pootjes moves from the Red Bull factory KTM squad to the HSF team for the 2017 MX2 world championship. The HSF team, that this year fielded Brian Bogers, does not normally get access to full factory bikes but it’s unknown if they will in 2017. Pootjes made his full-time MX2 GP debut in 2016 but sat out most of the latter part of the season with a wrist injury.
