Former MXGP rider Nathan Watson will head up the British team in the ISDE enduro in France on 28 August to 2 September. The official ACU announcement says:
Following many discussions and negotiations – and with the ongoing commitment to the EnduroGP season creating issues for several top British riders – the ACU has named the following British teams:
FIM WORLD TROPHY TEAM:
Nathan Watson, Josh Gotts, Brad Freeman, Lee Sealey
FIM JUNIOR WORLD TROPHY TEAM:
Joe Wootton, Tom Ellwood, Dan Mundell
ACU GB ISDE Team Manager, Dusty Martin: “We can’t deny we are missing some notable top-level riders from our line-up for this year. The timing of the ISDE – falling in the middle of the world championship season – has complicated the selection process and left us without some of our best talent. However, we have the strongest team we could assemble – all of them are excellent riders with first class results to their names – and I’m sure, as our riders have done previously, our two teams will rise to the challenge. We are still expecting to challenge for podium finishes.”
