Former British MX1 champ Kristian Whatley is to race a Suzuki RMZ250 in the AMCA championship this year following a deal with a privateer team backed by Wulfsport, Meredith MX and Rock Oil.
The Wulfsport Rock team announced : “Following a very uneventful ( due to injury ) 2018 we are delighted to say…WE ARE BACK. We are thrilled to announce Kristian Whatley will be joining us !
“In association with Wulfsport and new sponsor Meredith MX, Kristian will be competing in the MX2 Class of the AMCA Championship. To say we are excited is an understatement.”
Whatley hasn’t raced full time for around eight months, but was lining up a ride in the AMCA two-stroke series until that deal fell through.
Backers Meredith MX announced: “Very excited to be on board as bike sponsor on the RMZ250. We will be running a 2018 bike at the first round then Kristian will be debuting the all new 2019. Been a fan of this guy for so long going to be awesome to see him on a Suzuki.”
The series kicks off on March 31 at Norley in Cheshire.
