Just a couple of days after Standing Construct MTK MXGP’s Kevin Strijbos broke his collarbone, his team-mate Valentin Guillod has broken his leg!

Swiss ace Guillod, who looked cheerful on his social media photo despite the break, said: “Can’t believe it, after all the job we did this winter. Thanks to the people who helped me at the track, my mechanic and my team.”

Strijbos also posted a picture from hospital this week of his broken collarbone. It’s not yet known when either rider will be fit to ride again or whether the squad will draft in replacements.
