Following an unusual year for the sport and the team, the SPH Groundworks Racing riders managed to get in some racing at the four rounds of the Michelin MX Nationals UK Championship. The team are now pleased to confirm that for 2021 they will be moving to Husqvarna Motorcycles for the season following the hard work and support of Clinton Putnam and Neil Prince in making it happen.
The team can confirm they will compete at the ACU British Motocross Championship, MX Nationals UK and selected rounds of the Bridgestone British Masters series.
A team representative commented on the change of manufacturers in 2021, “We are pleased to announce the move to Husqvarna Motorcycles for next season. The team had a good four rounds at the Michelin MX Nationals this year following the uncertainty of racing due to the world pandemic. Both riders worked extremely hard to get racing and we cannot wait to get 2021 underway to see what we can do. Personally, I would like to thank Neil and Clinton for making the move of manufacturer happen.”
MX1 team riders Aidan & Lewis Wigger on the move to Husqvarna for 2021, “Both of us are very excited to be moving on to the Husqvarna Motorcycles machines for the 2021 season. A big thanks to Clinton Putnam and Neil Prince for arranging this for us.”
